De-Powering Heart Day

De-Powering Heart Day

Ok, so some people hate Valentines Day.  I don’t.  I don’t love it either; I think I am indifferent to the holiday over any other emotion that it might arouse in me.  My grandma sends me a valentines day card, I do something with a boyfriend (if I have one), and I might accidentally wear pink that day.  No biggie.  It’s just one day out of the 365 that come and go every year.

Whether or not you are looking forward to Valentines Day, and whether or not you have a Valentine to celebrate the day with; I encourage you to not let the holiday have control of you.  You are in control of your emotions and actions.  Don’t let “That Day” put you in a crappy mood, and if your activities that day happen to put you in a great mood, don’t chalk it up to Heart Day.  Credit the person you spent the day with and the relationship you share.
